I'm a McDonald groupie from the Lassiter short story that precludes the books (what happens in that story is referenced in Print the Legend). McDonald is at the top of the game right now and deservedly so.<br /><br />After reading Head Games I felt compelled to read the Hemingway bio the author recommends at the end of Print the Legend (I love when history is mingled with fiction--like Ellroy's American Tabloid and this Lassiter series). The opening chapter to Print is a hook and a half. Order the first two, Head Games & Toros & Torsos (if you haven't read them yet) and get started and finished in time for Print the Legend.Charlieoperahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08876755029099726686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8088414462866645386.post-74551790391716389792009-12-03T13:53:22.092-05:002009-12-03T13:53:22.092-05:00Poncho, the first book, 'Head Games,' has ...Poncho, the first book, 'Head Games,' has to do with the missing head of Pancho Villa. Of the three books to date, I would say it's the most action-oriented and visual. And the ending is just fabulous. If McDonald had never written another book, I would still be a fan forever.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8088414462866645386.post-43772952491859615792009-12-03T13:25:05.671-05:002009-12-03T13:25:05.671-05:00OMG.
