Heads up, writers!

NEEDLE: A MAGAZINE OF NOIR has reopened to submissions. Standard formatting, 2-5K words, payment one copy, rights remain with the author. Submissions are made via submishmash.

Also, that notable zine PLOTS WITH GUNS is not only still open for submissions, but the editors have posted the first two chapters of Roger Smith's outstanding novel, DUST DEVILS, for your perusal and enjoyment. DUST DEVILS is easily one of the best books I've read this year.

For superior coverage of zine markets, make sure you're following or getting the RSS feed for Sandra Seamans' blog, MY LITTLE CORNER. Nobody does it better. If you're writing with an eye toward online markets, her blog is must reading. And if you're not, she'll still point you to some very fine stories to read.

And a quick note on the current round of WHO DAT?  Thus far no one has correctly commented with the correct writer. If this condition persists, then later tonight or tomorrow morning at latest I'll provide a second clue that should make it clear just WHO DAT author is.
